Great Big Sea

Great Big Sea were a Newfoundland folk-rock band known for bringing the traditional songs and sounds of Atlantic Canada to a huge audience. Formed in St. John’s in 1993, the band blended Newfoundland folk, Celtic music and energetic pop-rock. With driving rhythms, rich harmonies and songs built for singing along, Great Big Sea became one of Canada’s most beloved live acts.
